Warming Hoax ... Cooling

Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him. Pro. 26:12

Dr. Phil Jones, director of the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit and one of the main players in Climategate, now acknowledges that there has been no measurable warming since 1995, despite steadily rising atmospheric carbon dioxide.
(that's 15 years of hidden cooling ... by promoting phony science)
Recent peer-reviewed studies indicate that increasing CO2 levels in the atmosphere (natural or man-made) have minimal effects on climate change – while others demonstrate that, on balance, this plant-fertilizing gas is beneficial, rather than harmful, for mankind and the biosphere.

Climate change no longer scary in Europe by Hans Labohm

Bjorn Lomborg’s ongoing publicity campaign for his new film makes it obvious that the fight against the delusion of dangerous man-made global warming remains an uphill struggle.

For decades the climate debate has been obfuscated by cherry-picking, spin-doctoring and scare-mongering by the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and other climate alarmists, including the environmental movement and mainstream media. Their massive effort to overstate the threat of man-made warming has left its imprint on public opinion.

But the tide seems to be turning. The Climate Conference fiasco in Copenhagen, Climategate scandal and stabilization of worldwide temperatures since 1995 have given rise to growing doubts about the putative threat of “dangerous global warming” or “global climate disruption.” Indeed, even Phil Jones, director of the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit and one of the main players in Climategate, now acknowledges that there has been no measurable warming since 1995, despite steadily rising atmospheric carbon dioxide.

People are paying attention, and opinion polls in many countries show a dramatic fall in the ranking of climate change among people’s major concerns. They are also beginning to understand that major rain and snow storms, hurricanes and other weather extremes are caused by solar-driven changes in global jet streams and warm-cold fronts, not by CO2, and that claims about recent years being the “warmest ever” are based on false or falsified temperature data.

In various parts of the world, the climate debate displays different features. The US and other parts of the non-European Anglo-Saxon world feature highly polarized and politicized debates along the left/right divide. In Europe, all major political parties are still toeing the “official” IPCC line. In both arenas, with a few notable exceptions, skeptical views – even from well-known scientists with impeccable credentials – tend to be ignored and/or actively suppressed by governments, academia and the media. However, skepticism about man-made climate disasters is gradually gaining ground nevertheless.

In my own country, The Netherlands, for instance, it has even received some official recognition, thus dissolving the information monopoly of climate alarmists. The Standing Committee on Environment of the Lower House even organized a one-day hearing, where both climate chaos adherents and disaster skeptics could freely discuss their different views before key parliamentarians who decide climate policy.
This hearing was followed by a special seminar organized by the Royal Netherlands Academy of Sciences, using the same format but focusing on scientific topics. The Academy will soon publish a report about this seminar.

Europe often brags about its emission trading scheme (ETS), regarding itself as the vanguard of an international climate policy. In the European view, the Copenhagen climate summit should have produced a worldwide extension and sharpening of its ETS. But the vast majority of countries in the world refused to follow Europe’s example, so the meeting turned into a fiasco. Its follow-up in Cancun at year’s end will surely produce a similar result. And for good reason.

Contrary to official claims, Europe’s experience with ETS is dismally bad. The system is expensive and prone to massive fraud. More importantly, it serves no useful purpose.

The European Environmental Agency tracks Europe's performance regarding the reduction of CO2 emissions. Its latest report states: “The European Union's greenhouse gas inventory report … shows that emissions have not only continued their downward trend in 2008, but have also picked up pace. The EU-27’s emissions stood 11.3% below their 1990 levels, while EU-15 achieved a reduction of 6.9% compared to Kyoto base-year levels.”

On the face of it, the scheme seems to be pretty successful. However, much of the downward trend was due to the global economic recession, not to the ETS. Moreover, both climate chaos proponents and climate disaster skeptics agree that the scheme will have no detectable impact whatsoever on worldwide temperatures – perhaps 0.1 degrees – though this crucial piece of information has been carefully and deliberately shielded from the public eye.

What about renewable energy as an alternative? Consider these EU costs for various sources of electricity in cents per kilowatt-hour: nuclear 4, coal 4, natural gas 5, onshore wind 13, biomass 16 … solar 56!

Obviously, the price tag for renewables is extremely high, compared to hydrocarbons. The additional costs can be justified either by imminent fossil fuel scarcity (the “oil peak”), which would send petroleum and coal prices through the roof, or by the threat of man-made global warming. But on closer inspection neither argument is tenable.

The authoritative International Energy Agency does not foresee any substantial scarcity of oil and gas in the near to medium future, and coal reserves remain sufficient for centuries to come. As to global warming, the absence of a statistically significant increase in average worldwide temperatures since 1995 obliterates that assertion.

All this argues for a closer look at the cost/benefit relationship of investing in renewable energy projects, to prevent a massive waste of financial and natural resources on unreliable and thus uncompetitive forms of energy. Since every cloud has a silver lining, the ongoing economic crisis might give extra impetus toward that end.

Hans Labohm has served in many international roles, including Deputy Permanent Representative of the Netherlands to the OECD.

My friends: After challenging this phony science for years as a hoax, it is encouraging to hear that the facts are finally forcing some environmentalists to back down. The problem is that many politicians and citizens have been brainwashed with this babble in the same way they have been programed with atheistic evolutionary doctrine. In California, the ignorant voters just followed the lead of the ignorant governor and passed a bill to institute global warming legislation. The old ... newly elected "governor moonbeam" has promised to create more green jobs. Whoopee doo ... but first he needs to define what a green job is though. Oh no ... census taker jobs won't be available again for another 10 years. This will only force more employers to relocate to a more job friendly state. Where is California headed? ... 25% unemployment! The likely solutions: federal bailout; bankruptcy; or both. I am ashamed of the example of foolishness that my state has become. The downward spiral will surely draw California into the abyss. Bob

A Bridge to Nowhere

You shall not distort justice;
you shall not be partial,
and you shall not take a bribe,
for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise
and perverts the words of the righteous.
Deuteronomy 16:19.

We must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our election between economy and liberty or profusion and servitude. If we run into such debt, as that we must be taxed in our meat and in our drink, in our necessaries and our comforts, in our labors and our amusements, for our calling and our creeds... we will have no time to think, no means of calling our miss-managers to account but be glad to obtain subsistence by hiring ourselves to rivet their chains on the necks of our fellow-sufferers... And this is the tendency of all human governments. A departure from principle in one instance becomes a precedent for another ... till the bulk of society is reduced to be mere automatons of misery... And the fore-horse of this frightful team is public debt. Taxation follows that, and in its train wretchedness and oppression. Thomas Jefferson

The so-called "Bridge to Nowhere" would have linked Ketchikan, Alaska (population 8,900) to its airport on Gravina island (population 50) at a cost to federal taxpayers of $223 million. This was a graphic example of “pork barrel spending” or something also known as an earmark. This would save all the travelers in Ketchikan the inconvenience of a 15-30 minute, $6 ferry ride. The concept is applied when a politician who holds a powerful leadership position inserts his home states pet project to a much larger and more complex bill affecting the nation that is absolutely needed by all. Quite often, these earmarks are deliberately hidden in a bill hundreds of pages in length. The other politicians are then left with little choice but to allow the foolish spending to go through. Their only other option is to vote down the other spending which is needed and is best for all Americans. This tactic is where politicians have come up with the phrase “bringing home the bacon.” When questioned about the bridge to nowhere, the driving force behind the bridge's funding, the Republican Chairman Don Young of the House Transportation Committee, replied as follows: "I'd be silly if I didn't take advantage of my chairmanship ... I think I did a pretty good job."

More clearly defined, earmarks are funds provided by the Congress for specific projects or programs in such a way that the allocation (a) circumvents a merit-based or competitive allocation process; (b) applies to a very limited number of individuals or entities; or (c) otherwise curtails the ability of the Executive Branch to independently manage the agency budget. Thus, an earmark circumvents the appropriations process, as outlined in the Constitution, where Congress grants a lump sum of money to a Federal agency each year and leaves the management of that money to the Executive Branch.

Earmarks are an ongoing debate in congress. We must strongly encourage our representatives to end this corruption. Since the party in power controls the leaders of the committees who draft and control what goes into the bills … whoever is in power is usually in favor of earmarks. Both Republicans ad Democrats are guilty of using earmarks. Some would argue that those who won have a mandate and should be able to reward their supporters, and that the amounts involved in earmarks are minimal in the big picture. Also they argue that many of these earmarks provide jobs and other resources to groups that are in great need. As absurd as this logic is … is there a bigger problem?

Absolutely! The bigger issue here is corruption and bribery. This a key tool used to pay back lobby groups that provide political donations for election and re-election. Also earmarks are a primary way that BRIBES can be paid to get the needed votes in both houses to pass unpopular legislation. When this logic is pushed to its end, the result is political corruption at its worst. The most obvious recent example of the power of the evil use of earmarks is the recently passed health care legislation. Unable to get the needed votes within their own party, and with no hope of passing the bill, Democratic leaders started meeting with the Democratic party “no” voters, one by one. The result was a series of backroom deals that sent Billions of taxpayer dollars to a handful of states in exchange for their changed vote. In Vermont, that meant 10 billion in funding for new community health centers throughout the state. This is just another version of the “Bridge to Nowhere.” Sure, health care centers are of far greater value than a bridge that provides very little benefit, but forcing taxpayers throughout the US to build Vermont’s new projects as a bribe payoff is wrong, regardless of how it is rationalized by Harry Reid and President Obama.

Ending earmarks is a bullet to the heart of politics as usual. What about a line item veto that would allow for the president to remove these earmarks? Well, that would be good as well, as long as we can trust the president. But, if the president is likely to use this tool as a way to repay his donors, cronies and union buddies, then that doesn't make sense either. “Sometimes it is said that man cannot be trusted with the government of himself. Can he, then, be trusted with the government of others?” In the end it must always come back to the American people. When the politicians cease to follow the constitution and its instructions to serve all of the American people … we must vote them out. “The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the Constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first.” and “When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.” Jefferson

Unfortunately, it appears that many Americans have developed an entitlement mentality and expect that the government is responsible for their provision, and that the only way to get it is to appropriate it from someone else. That is not consistent with the intent of the founders of America or our constitution. “A wise and frugal government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor and bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government.” and “The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.” and “Yes, we did produce a near-perfect republic. But will they keep it? Or will they, in the enjoyment of plenty, lose the memory of freedom? Material abundance without character is the path of destruction.” and “The whole art of government consists in the art of being honest.”
All quotations by Thomas Jefferson

“When the people find they can vote themselves money … that will herald the end of the republic.” Benjamin Franklin

Can the American people be trusted to not fall for the temptation of voting themselves money?
Are our political leaders walking America across a Bridge to Nowhere?

Casting Your Net

My heart took delight in all my work. Ecclesiastes 2:10

Contrast two workers.
The first one slices the air with his hand, making points, instructing the crowd. He is a teacher and, from the look of things, a compelling one. He stands on a beach, rendering the slanted seashore an amphitheater. As he talks, his audience increases; as the audience grows, his platform shrinks. The instructor steps back and back until the next step will take him into the water. That's when he spots another worker.

A fisherman. Not animated, but frustrated. He spent all night fishing, but caught nothing. All night! Double-digit hours worth of casting, splashing, and pulling the net. But he caught nothing. Unlike the teacher, the fisherman has nothing to show for his work. He draws no crowds; he doesn't even draw fish. Just nets.

Two workers. One pumped up. One worn-out. The first, fruitful. The second, futile. To which do you relate? If you empathize with the fisherman, you walk a crowded path. Before you change professions, try this: change your attitude toward your profession.

Jesus' word for frustrated workers can be found in the fifth chapter of Luke's gospel, where we encounter the teacher and the frustrated fisherman. You've likely guessed their names—Jesus and Peter. Peter, Andrew, James, and John made their living catching and selling fish. Like other fishermen, they worked the night shift, when cool water brought the game to the surface. And, like other fishermen, they knew the drudgery of a fishless night.
While Jesus preaches, they clean nets. And as the crowd grows, Christ has an idea.
He noticed two boats tied up. The fishermen had just left them and were out scrubbing their nets. He climbed into the boat that was and asked him to put out a little from the shore. Sitting there, using the boat for a pulpit, he taught the crowd. (vv. 2-3 MSG)
Jesus claims Peter's boat. He doesn't request the use of it. Christ doesn't fill out an application or ask permission; he simply boards the boat and begins to preach.
He can do that ... you know.

All boats belong to Christ.

Your boat is where you spend your day, make your living, and to a large degree live your life. Your boat is God's pulpit.

I have a friend who understands this. By job description she teaches at a public elementary school. By God's description she pastors a class of precious children. Read the e-mail she sent her friends:
I'm asking for your prayers for my students. I know everyone is busy, but...
On and on the list goes, including nearly deaf Sara. Disorganized-but-thoughtful Terrell. Model-student Alicia. Bossy-but-creative Kaelyn.
Does this teacher work for a school system or for God? Does she spend her day in work or worship? Does she make money or a difference? Every morning she climbs in the boat Jesus loaned her. The two of them row out into the water and cast nets. My friend imitates Peter.

Suppose you were to do what Peter did. Take Christ to work with you. Invite him to superintend your nine-to-five. He showed Peter where to cast nets. Won't he show you where to transfer funds, file the documents, or take the students on a field trip?
Holy Spirit, help me stitch this seam.
Lord of creation, show me why this manifold won't work.
King of kings, please bring clarity to this budget.
Dear Jesus, guide my hands as I trim this hair.
Pray the prayer of Moses: "Let the loveliness of our Lord, our God, rest on us, confirming the work that we do. Oh, yes. Affirm the work that we do!" (Ps. 90:17 MSG).

Hold it there. I saw you roll those eyes. You see no way God could use your work. Your boss has the disposition of a hungry pit bull; hamsters have larger work areas; your kids have better per diems. You feel sentenced to the outpost of Siberia, where hope left on the last train. If so, meet one final witness. He labored eighteen years in a Chinese prison camp. The Communist regime rewarded his faith in Christ with the sewage assignment. The camp kept its human waste in pools until it fermented into fertilizer. The pits seethed with stink and disease. Guards and prisoners alike avoided the cesspools and all who worked there, including this disciple.

After he'd spent weeks in the pit, the stench pigmented his body. He couldn't scrub it out. Imagine his plight, far from home. And even in the prison, far from people. But somehow this godly man found a garden in his prison. "I was thankful for being sent to the cesspool. This was the only place where I was not under severe surveillance. I could pray and sing openly to our Lord. When I was there, the cesspool became my private garden."

He then quoted the words to the old hymn:
I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice so clear whispers in my ear
The Son of God discloses.
And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known.

"I never knew the meaning of this hymn until I had been in the labor camp," he said. God can make a garden out of the cesspool you call work, if you take him with you.
For Peter and his nets, my friend and her class, the prisoner and his garden, and for you and your work, the promise is the same: everything changes when you give Jesus your boat. "Take Your Job and Love It" written by Max Lucado

The Silent Majority Responds

There are many different problems that are challenging Americans in today's complex world. Of course the threat of Islamic Jihadists is a most pressing concern that although we have managed to keep the fight at a distance for the most part ... there are millions of fanatics worldwide who have vowed to kill us all and destroy our way of life.

And our downward trending economy is an all encompassing problem that cannot be ignored. The real estate building, sales, lending, and all other related industries have for the most part been destroyed for the next decade, at the very least.

The problems suffered by millions of Americans as a result of the ever increasing cost of health care have divided our country, with the ruling party deciding to force their solution on all of us whether we like it or want it or not. Those of us who do not agree are referred to as enemies by the president wh sold himself as a uniter ... what a joke.

The social costs of illegal immigration are pressing the resources of our states to the limit. College costs are spiraling out of control, and our hopes for the future of our next generation have been greatly diminished. I recently learned that the cost of a four year college education for today's elementary school children will rise to a horrific total of $280,000. Only one graphic example of the results of all of this wasteful spending by our politicians in Washington and state government. The current leaders continually ignore these realities.

With the near depletion of our social security system, and the threat of increased taxes from every direction ... what are responsible Americans to do? Retirement plans that once seemed substantial have been reduced to memories of what might have been. What answers have we received to these problems? None.

Of course there are a multitude of secondary issues such as illegal drugs, global warming, gay rights, and animal rights ... etc. that continue to compete for the attention of the politicians who supposedly represent us. I am sure that I have left out a number of important problems, but I hope you get my point.

The politicians spend the majority of their time in office listening to these various groups who pretend to represent the people, in hopes of raising financial support for their next election. A friend of mine recently explained to me that if a candidate for a position on the Long Beach school board does not buy into the teachers union agenda, he must be able to raise $300,000 in order to stand firm for a plan for positive change ... one that puts the needs of our children first. On a higher level, for the rare candidate out there like Meg Whitman who is able to put $150 million of their own money up in order to present a positive challenge for change ... the system is prepared to raise $300 million to maintain the corrupt phony systems. Whitmans opponent Jerry Brown stands ready to meet with the unions after the election to plan the pay back for all the money ... if he wins.

So what to a large degree do most politicians do to insulate themselves from this ugly mess? Provide themselves with a $180K retirement for life, and then submit to the highest bidders promoting an agenda for dollars ... while then they dodge and weave until the real people finally wise up ... and kick the bums out.

And what has all of this led us to on the night before the election? Those in control had a trillion dollars in stimulus money that could have been used to stimulate new jobs, as they promised. If that had been their goal, the results would have been overwhelming! Instead, they decided to repay the various unions for their past and future votes. They then tried a quickie two step by saying a saved union job is the same as a new job created. An enormous lie. Why? because a job saved is only union job and pension saved at an enormous cost. Anyone with a brain knows that five private sector jobs could have been created for everyone of these expensive union jobs. If they cared about the American people, they could have easily used this money to stimulate new jobs as promised. It is important to note here that the unemployment numbers are greatly underestimated. The truth is that only those collecting unemployment benefits are considered in the governments numbers. The actual unemployment considering all America adults is now estimated at 25.5%. This is a disgrace. The facts speak louder than words. They have lied to all Americans. Watch the attached clip ... the truth is not up for dispute. Vote accordingly. The silent majority needs to put all politicians on notice.

Beware: Alien Life Forms

THE JUAN WILLIAMS FIRING: NOW IS PRECISELY THE TIME FOR A NATIONAL CONVERSATION ABOUT THE THREAT OF RADICAL ISLAM By Joel C. Rosenberg (Jacksonville, Florida, October 22, 2010) -- That National Public Radio fired liberal commentator Juan Williams this week for publicly expressing on the Fox News Channel his anxieties about Muslims in America is appalling, but not surprising. NPR has long been hostile to the views of evangelical Christians and conservatives. Now, apparently, they are even hostile towards liberals who express personal sentiments on a conservative TV program. But the dust up is important not simply because it exposed once again the left-wing bias of NPR and demonstrated yet again why the network should not receive a dime of public funding. It was important because of the chilling implications over free speech in this country.

Are we really not allowed to say in a post-9/11 world that Muslims traveling on planes make some Americans uneasy? What else are we not allowed to say? Should we not discuss the threat of Radical Muslims to Judeo-Christian civilization? Are we not allowed to express our concerns about what would happen if Radical Muslims acquired nuclear, chemical or biological weapons? What happened to free speech in this country?

The vast majority of Muslims in the U.S. and around the world (upwards of 90 to 93 percent) are moderate, peaceful people. They don't believe in jihad. They are not suicide bombers or terrorists. They want good jobs, good schools for their kids, and the right to practice their faith without persecution or government interference. But there is a small but important percentage of Muslims that are highly dangerous. They believe that Islam is the answer, and violent jihad is the way. Americans need to talk about both groups. We need to learn about and discuss the differences. We need to understand who the Radicals are, and who the Reformers are.

At the same time, we need to understand that there is a subset of Radical Muslims who are even more dangerous. They don't simply want to terrorize us; they want to annihilate us. Chief among them are the "Twelvers," a Shia Muslim cult who believe that end of the world is at hand, that the Islamic messiah known as the "Twelfth Imam" is coming to earth at any moment, and that the way to hasten the arrival of the Twelfth Imam is to annihilate two countries - Israel, which they call the "Little Satan," and the United States, which they call the "Great Satan." What makes these Twelvers especially dangerous right now is that they are running the current government of Iran. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei is a Twelver, and says he actually met with the Twelfth Imam last July. Iranian President Ahmadinejad is a lifelong Twelver, and is actively seeking to build nuclear weapons. Both have publicly called for the annihilation of the U.S. and Israel, and they are doing so for expressly religious purposes.

The world is doing precious little to stop such men. The Obama administration certainly isn't taking decisive action to stop Iran from getting the Bomb. So every day the danger grows that the Twelvers will get nuclear weapons and either use them against Israel, and then the U.S., or give those weapons to terrorist groups who will seek to obliterate their enemies. Now is precisely the time to talk about such things. Now is precisely the time to talk as Americans about our anxieties and our fears. This is why I wrote a new political thriller entitled, The Twelfth Imam, to help foster such a national conversation and to take people inside the story and to help them imagine what might happen if the world ignores the threat posed by the leaders of Iran.

NPR apparently wants to silence Americans who are concerned about the threat of Radical Islam. Thankfully, there are a multitude of other media outlets who permit a national conversation about Radical Islam to take place. Such a conversation is, after all, more needed than ever. Joel Rosenberg

====================================================================================================================

The best way to describe the firing of Juan Williams is POLITICAL CORRECTNESS RUN AMOK.

The Juan Williams firing is a perfect example of cultural Marxism at work. Even a liberal black man who has spent his entire life fighting against racism and for liberal causes is open to attack. But don't be confused. The Politically Correct elite are not pro Islam. The position taken is actually anti Christian and anti traditional values, at its core. Islam only comes into play because the religion is viewed as a minority in America. These politically correct fanatics are ultimately against any religion that gets in the way of their atheist beliefs, and that certainly includes Islam ... but not at the moment. All of a sudden freedom of religion is immensely important to athiests who don't believe in God??? Give me a break.

Do you really think Juan Williams would have been fired if he had made a statement that was offensive to evangelical Christians or Jews? The politically correct cultural elite is against anyone who makes a comment contrary to their accepted talking points, especially from their own camp. That is how their brainwashing works. Any woman or minority who strays from the marching orders is subject to attack.

Remember, The Frankfurt School wrote about American public education. It said,"it did not matter if school children learned any skills or any facts. All that mattered was that they graduate from the schools with the right "attitudes" on certain questions." Also; Cultural Marxism taught a principle called the "Tran-valuation of all values" which was incorporated in the cultural Marxism teaching. Tran-valuation is defined as follows: “those acts defined as sin traditionally become virtues, and traditionally accepted virtues become sins. Homosexuality is a fine and good thing, but anyone who thinks men and women should have different social roles is an evil "fascist." That is what political correctness now teaches children in public schools all across America. In the same way Islam is contrary to Christianity, Judaism, and traditional values which are redefined as evil ... so naturally any contrary teachings including "Islam" are deemed good. In the same way; witchcraft, satanism and most false religions qualify as good to the degree that they oppose Christianity. Minority status trumps the fact that Islamic teachings might be repugnant to the politically correct. The target is Christianity and its values. That is also why Sarah Palin is despised and ridiculed; and other women like Pelosi or Boxer are respected by the politically correct, regardless of their failings.

They believed the Obama victory was their victory when Obama stated; "we are the ones we have been waiting for." They were confident they would be able to force all of their Marxist changes on America ... just like they forced health care. The thought that they will now lose control in this coming election is driving this enemy of freedom to desperation.

If you think this is an isolated event, you must be kidding. They are still working their plans for implementation of this evil for the remaining two years of Obama's term of office. I was told earlier today by a progressive Marxist: "We can solve all of our problems by creating an environment whereby the middle (and lower) classes are empowered economically." Obviously, to do that we must have a massive transfer of wealth which is unconstitutional and un-American.

... and "the reason we (white people) are angry is "because we see "minorities" "taking" what we feel is rightfully ours; and we also can't accept a black president." The last I heard Obama is 1/2 white. (but in reality the president's skin color was NOT even an issue of discussion) Do you see how race is used in an attempt to divide and conquer? This is the worst form of racism thrown at me by a black man. He can't even imagine that the majority of Americans reject these ideas as anti-American. And then he called those who don't agree with this ideology "morons"

This has nothing to do with creating a job friendly environment. Employers are evil ... workers are good, and only the government and unions can be trusted to provide for us. This is why there was no effort to stimulate small businesses in America with the stimulus plan. They are anti small business. Small businesses are not stimulated because the socialists don't want people to be free of their control.OUR STIMULUS MONEY WAS DELIVERED TO THE UNIONS IN EXCHANGE FOR CAMPAIGN FINANCING! This is insane. But unfortunately our fellow Americans elected this alien life form who hid their true identity and motives to get elected, and who speak in a foreign language with words redefined to mean the exact opposite of what we know to be true.
Beware of the Politically Correct Alien Life Forms who have invaded America.

And get ready .... this is America's 2nd Civil War. All of our freedoms are in the balance.

Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

A Planned Deception II

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.
Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm
against the schemes of the devil.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood,
but against the rulers, against the powers,
against the world forces of this darkness,
against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Ephesians 6:10-12

The Frankfurt School proceeded to redefine traditional values and beliefs and as a result values became prejudices. Adorno published these falsehoods in his Marxist bestseller, "The Authoritarian Personality," published in 1950. Adorno created a phony "F-scale" that linked traditional beliefs on sexual morals, relations between men and women and questions touching on the family to be a form of fascism. The end result: political correctness now would often say those who disagree with them are ignorant, radical, or even a bigger lie: "fascist."

Next, Cultural Marxism made another switch from traditional Marxism which contends those who control means of production control the people. Cultural Marxism says groups such as men, women, races, religions, etc., control power or "dominance" over other groups. White males, for example were labeled "oppressors," and many other groups were defined as "victims." Victims were defined as good, oppressors were deemed bad. These conclusions were reached regardless of individual behavior.

Cultural Marxism also drew from the teachings of Nietzsche. Another of their heroes was the Marquis de Sade who was championed for his defiance of traditional values. Nietzsche taught a principle called the "Trans-valuation of all values" which was incorporated in the cultural Marxism teaching. Trans-valuation is defined as follows: “those acts defined as sin traditionally become virtues, and traditionally accepted virtues become sins. Homosexuality is a fine and normal lifestyle ... so they say, but anyone who thinks men and women should have different social roles is an evil "fascist." That is what political correctness now teaches children in public schools all across America. The Frankfurt School wrote about American public education. It said it did not matter if school children learned any skills or any facts. All that mattered was that they graduate from the schools with the right "attitudes" on certain questions.” Teaching politically correct anti traditional Christian values is a primary tenet of cultural Marxism. Their is no room for a creator who gives us the ten commandments in cultural Marxist ideology. That is why I am convinced that if absolute proof of God; or if irrefutable scientific disproof of evolution was presented, modern science which is guided by many atheistic cultural Marxists would never reasonably consider the evidence.

Cultural Marxism concluded they could manipulate radio, film and later television to psychologically condition the public. Their leaders spent years in Hollywood after World War 2 cultivating these industries with their ideology. Hollywood has now become one of cultural Marxism’s most dangerous weapons.

The mainstream media has now been 90% controlled by this mentality. The reporting of the news is now quite often reported with this ideolgy as a guide. Consciously or unconsciously people or stories that fit the ideology are reported in a positive light. Contrary views reflecting traditonal values are reported to be ignorant, negative, extremist or racist viewpoints.

After the fall of Nazi Germany, most of the cultural Marxists were free to return to Frankfurt and rebuild the institute there with the help of the American allies. Eventually, it soon became the primary ideology of the Republic of Germany. It is no wonder our president mesmerized and was so wholeheartedly welcomed in Germany.

One key leader remained behind in America. Herbert Marcuse wrote "Eros and Civilization" which combined the teachings of Marx with Freud which contended that if we "liberated non-procreative Eros through polymorphous perversity, we could create a new paradise where there would be only play and no work.”Eros and Civilization" became one of the main texts of the New Left in the 1960s.” The dawning of the Age of Aquarius had meaning to the Marxists. for myself and most unsuspecting others ... it was just another cool song.

Marcuse also taught that, “a coalition of students, blacks, feminist women and homosexuals – the core of the student rebellion of the 1960s, and the sacred "victims groups" of political correctness today would liberate America. Marcuse redefined the word, "tolerance," and gave it a new meaning. “He called it "liberating tolerance" as tolerance for all ideas and movements coming from the left, and intolerance for all ideas and movements coming from the right. When you hear the cultural Marxists today call for "tolerance," they mean Marcuse's "liberating tolerance" just as when they call for "diversity," they mean uniformity of belief in their ideology.” That is also why the left does not believe that Christians or whites can be subjected to reverse discrimination. The Obama administration gave us a glimpse of this logic recently when they dismissed a conviction against Black Panthers with clubs who were intimidating whites at the entrance to a US polling place. It has reported that the guideline came down that blacks discriminating or depriving rights of whites were not to be prosecuted.

Marcuse capitalized on the student rebellion of the 1960s, in response to the Viet Nam war. He is the father of cultural Marxism to the baby boom generation, even though most of us didn’t know it. It was deceptively hidden that political correctness and multi-culturalism were evil forms of Marxism. The end result is horrible. “A whole generation of Americans, especially the university-educated elite, absorbed cultural Marxism as their own, accepting a poisonous ideology that sought to destroy America's traditional culture and Christian heritage and faith. That generation, which runs every elite institution in America, now wages a ceaseless war on all traditional beliefs and institutions. They have largely won that war. Most of America's traditional culture lies in ruins.”

The Tea Party Movement is not just a response to government out of control. It is also a response to the loss of our culture, our values, our traditions, and our ways of life. All of a sudden, they are telling us that our American history is not the way things actually were, and that is a obviously a lie. They tell us that saying Merry Christmas is offensive to some and as a result insensitive and intolerant to atheists and non-Christian religions. At the same time they have promoted that freedom of religion means all religions are equal and relevant. The Muslim religion suddenly is valuable to this group, not because they agree with Islam but because it is anti-Christianity. The gay lifestyle is being forced down America’s throat, and those of us who don’t agree are called homophobes. And the assaults go on and on. All religions are fantasy to them, and as a result foolishness. In that context, all religions are as valuable as the next irregardless of what the religions teach. Except for Biblical Christianity of course which is the enemy of cultural Marxism and as a result to be discredited at every opportunity.

The biggest challenge is that cultural Marxism has converted a large percentage of our children through our educational system. We have seen how difficult it is to combat the hold false science teaching has on the evolution debate. Evolutionary doctrine is only one front line in the war on traditional values. Unfortunately Christians have allowed this to happen. We have given the training of our children over to atheist Marxists, and they have to a large degree succeeded. If they can convince our children there is no creator ... it is then a logical next step that there is no true God and the Bible is just another man created religion easily rejected when it does not agree with the driving forces of lust and pride.

What can we do? There is a large likelihood many of you who are reading this have been educated with these principles and accepted many of them. Many of you have been conflicted. You may have even accepted some of the teachings on evolution, homosexuality, radical environmentalism as well as a number of other ideas that are contrary to God’s word, and what we know to be true. Just like Bill O’Reilly in my Noah’s Ark post, this only makes you look hypocritical and foolish when you take positions contrary to Biblical teachings.

There is no peace and joy with a compromised belief system. You need to test everything you hear in the world against the only teaching you can stand on for eternity, and these beliefs are not often taught in the universities. Then we need to share the differences between atheistic cultural Marxism and traditional Christian values with everyone we know. We all need to understand that the words political correctness and tolerance have been redefined by cultural Marxists and that good people as well as bad have been deceived and that their sincerity doesn't change this fact: it is the opposite of God’s truth. We must stand against it.

Can we ever get back to the way things were for me in the fifties? Yes … one person at a time, and one family at a time is the only way, and clearly it can be much better but it will take a long time. The world can and probably will continue along its foolish path, but we can have peace and joy and rest knowing that our Heavenly Father will never desert us. He will always rescue us. He will always light the pathway to victory.

The good news is that we know the end of the story. Jesus Christ and His followers will win and spend eternity together in the heavenlies. In the meantime, what can we do? Home school our children, or if that doesn’t work for you, Christian school was our decision. We need to pass the facts along to our friends, neighbors and relatives so that they can know the truth. Some will think we are nuts. But isn’t that why God gave us the reality of Noah, so that we could follow his courage and his faith. We must stand against any moves to steal our values, our beliefs, and our freedoms. We must hold strong on all issues of state’s rights and our constitution. This is a cultural war and I am concerned that my generation will just die off, and we will lose through attrition. Any policy that throws us under the control of the government works against our personal freedoms. Unfortunately, this is not a war that will be won quickly. Our grandchildren will be fighting this battle as adults. Our call is to educate them with the truth.

Dueteronomy 6:1-9 “Now this is the commandment, the statutes and the judgments which the LORD your God has commanded me to teach you, that you might do them in the land where you are going over to possess it, so that you and your son and your grandson might fear the LORD your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments which I command you, all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged. “O Israel, you should listen and be careful to do it, that it may be well with you and that you may multiply greatly, just as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has promised you, in a land flowing with milk and honey. “Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one! “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. “These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. “You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. “You shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. “You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. A Planned Deception

There are six things which the LORD hates,
Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him:
Haughty eyes, a lying tongue,
And hands that shed innocent blood,
A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that run rapidly to evil,
A false witness who utters lies,
And one who spreads strife among brothers.

Proverbs 6:16-19

Have you ever wondered ...

... what president Obama meant when he said “we are the ones we have been waiting for” just prior to his election? You are about to find out. Recently I was meeting with a friend who explained something to me that I had only sensed previously. I knew things had changed dramatically since the sixties, but I had no idea that the transformation had been orchestrated by men with an evil plan. What you are about to read is profound. I am angry that it has been hidden from most Americans over the past 60 years. Many are willing participants, but most have supported this movement without even knowing the goals and the plans that began and were formulated in Germany 90 years ago.

A group of evil men schemed, plotted, and planned to steal the culture of my youth and transform the world to fit their ideology, and this post explains exactly how it happened in Europe and America.

Anyone who has ever watched Leave it to Beaver, Father Knows Best, or Ozzie and Harriet understands where I am coming from. I lived and loved that life. They were times of innocence. Our mom had a day job and it was at home. Life and most everything in it was PG, and just about everything then was vastly different than it is now. My personal opinion is that many things that were then beautiful and innocent, are now presented as ugly and evil. Political correctness and tolerance were words that no one ever even heard of. I grew up in Lakewood CA with fifty other kids on my block, and we all enjoyed our childhood in an environment that was both safe and enviable. If we had a dispute, there may have been an occasional fistfight that lasted three minutes or less, but there were no gangs, no guns, and no drugs. Racism, homosexuality, multi-culturalism and feminism were not even issues that I had ever even heard of.

Everyone I knew all believed in our country and knew the difference between right and wrong. It was not uncommon for kindergartners to walk a mile to school, or for junior high boys to hitchhike many miles to the beach without fear. “America was a great place. It was safe. It was decent. Children got good educations in the public schools. Even blue-collar fathers brought home middle-class incomes, so moms could stay home with the kids. Television shows reflected sound, traditional values.”

So how did we get from where we were to where we are now? Did this Transformation of America just happen? Did the “Age of Aquarius” become a reality by chance, or … was this a strategically planned deception, nearly a century ago?

The fact of the matter is ... it was not an accident. “A deliberate agenda was followed to steal our culture and leave a new and very different one in its place. The story of how and why is one of the most important parts of our nation's history – and it is a story almost no one knows. The people behind it wanted it that way.”

America's traditional Western, Judeo-Christian culture, was systematically replaced by an ideology that was formulated and developed in Germany shortly after the end of World War 1. We know that ideology best as "political correctness" or "multi-culturalism." The actual definition is cultural Marxism. (Watch Clips)

The original Marxist ideology was converted from economic into cultural terms. The primary philosophies of the vast majority of America’s intellectual elite have adopted this ideology and have taught an entire generation this babble in our universities for the past 60 years. It has now been implemented in our public schools in a variety of ways.

The wall that was torn down in Berlin has now been rebuilt in America that separates those of us who still cling to our traditional values and those who have adopted this new thinking and accepted it as higher learning. Those of us who do not agree are viewed as ignorant, uneducated, and unsophisticated. Enter the Tea Party.

Let’s look back into history to better understand how this all became a reality. We must look into the history of “political correctness.” Prior to World War 1 Marxist Theorists believed that if Europe broke out in a war that all of the workers of Europe would unite in a Marxist revolt that would ultimately result in a Communist continent. When WW1 became reality, this theory was proven to be false. The opposite actually happened, with the exception of Russia, and the Marxist ideology of a revolution was for the most part rejected by the working class throughout Europe.

When the war ended, Marxist intellectuals in Europe theorized why their teachings had failed and their two top thinkers came to the same conclusion. Antonio Gramsci in Italy and Georg Lukacs in Hungary decided and taught that Western culture and the Christian religion were the cause of their failure and must be destroyed. “That objective was established as cultural Marxism's goal right at the very beginning, and is still at the center of cultural Marxism's vision. Their plan was for a "long march through the institutions" – the schools, the media, even the churches, every institution that could influence the culture. That "long march through the institutions" is what America has experienced, especially since the 1960s.”

Georg Lukacs asked, "Who will save us from Western civilization?" His answer was something he called "cultural terrorism." The basic thrust of his idea was to introduce ideology that was contrary to traditional values into the public schools. One of first steps was sex education in Hungarian schools disrupting traditional sexual morals. Lukacs goal was to destroy Hungary’s traditional culture and Christian faith. This first attempt was quickly rejected. In 1923, he and a group of other Marxists met in Frankfurt Germany to form a new think tank at the Frankfurt University. Their original name of “Institute for Marxism” was quickly changed to “Institute for Social Research” in order to be able to develop their true goals and plans secretly. They were more widely known as the Frankfort School.

Their initial work was to define political correctness. Ultimately, this band of cultural Marxists are the ones who set the plans in motion that destroyed Western culture and robbed America of its traditional values. I am convinced that they are the ones who then Senator Obama was referring to when he said; “we are the ones we have been waiting for.” When Obama's friend and adviser Andy Stern uses the slogan "workers of the world unite", the source of his beliefs and ideas is crystal clear to Marxists worldwide. At this point, a large percentage of our educated elite have been programmed with this ideology … some understand it ... many do not, but they are all convinced that we traditionalists need to be converted to their way of thinking and unfortunately many of them have been appointed by our president and given positions of great power and legislative control over our lives.

A key conclusion that was developed in the early stages of developing the ideology was to blend the teachings of Marx with Freud. “They argued that just as workers were oppressed under capitalism, so under Western culture, everyone lived in a constant state of psychological repression. "Liberating" the world's from the repression that they created in their imagination became one of cultural Marxism's main goals. Even more important, they realized that psychology offered them a far more powerful tool than philosophy for destroying Western culture: psychological conditioning.”

“Today, when Hollywood's cultural Marxists want to "normalize" something like homosexuality (thus "liberating" us from "repression"), they put on television show after television show where the only normal-seeming white male is a homosexual. Christians are presented as right wing, legalistic, bigoted racists. That is how psychological conditioning works; people absorb the lessons the cultural Marxists want them to learn without even knowing what they are being taught.” The "Best Picture" movie “American Beauty” is an excellent example of this technique. The crazed fundamentalist military father is actually a repressed gay guy; and the two gay (doctor and lawyer) neighbors are the only likeable normal people in the entire movie. All In The Family" also used similar tactics. Archie Bunker is the ignorant traditionalist buffoon, and his progressive son-in-law the "wise" liberal oppressed.

In 1933, Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party came to power in Germany. “Since the Frankfurt School was Marxist, and the Nazis hated Marxism, and since almost all its members were Jewish, the members decided to quickly leave Germany. In 1934, the Frankfurt School, including its leading members from Germany, was re-established in New York City, with help from Columbia University. Soon, its focus shifted from destroying traditional Western culture and Christian thought in Germany to doing so in the United States. It would prove all too successful.”

“Taking full advantage of American hospitality, the Frankfurt School soon resumed its intellectual work to create cultural Marxism in America. To serve its purpose of "negating" Western culture, the Frankfurt School developed a powerful tool called "Critical Theory." What was the theory? The theory was to criticize. By subjecting every traditional institution, starting with family, to endless, unremitting criticism (the Frankfurt School was careful never to define what it was for, only what it was against), it hoped to bring them down. Critical Theory is the basis for the "studies" departments that now inhabit American colleges and universities. Not surprisingly, those departments are the home turf of academic political correctness.”

90 Years of Wisdom

This is something we should all read at least once a week!!!!!
Make sure you read to the end!

To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me.
It is the most requested column I've ever written.

Written by Regina Brett, 90 years old, of the Plain Dealer, Cleveland, Ohio.

My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more:

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.

3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.

5. Pay off your credit cards every month.

6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.

8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.

9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.

10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.

11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.

12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.

13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.

15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry; God never blinks.

16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.

17. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.

18. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.

19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else.

20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.

21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.

22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.

23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.

24. The most important sex organ is the brain.

25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.

26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words 'In five years, will this matter?"

27. Always choose life.

28. Forgive everyone everything.

29. What other people think of you is none of your business.

30. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.

31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

32. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

33. Believe in miracles.

34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do.

35. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.

36. Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young.

37. Your children get only one childhood.

38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.

39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.

40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.

41. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

42. The best is yet to come...

43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

44. Yield.

45. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift."

Its estimated 93% won't forward this. If you are one of the 7% who will,
forward this with the title '7%'.

I'm in the 7%. Friends are the family that we choose.

I only wish I would have received this advice 45 years ago and followed it.
Of course a few more important instructions were left out that I must add here, such as:

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9:10

My son, keep my words and treasure my commandments within you.
Keep my commandments and live, And my teaching as the apple of your eye.
Bind them on your fingers; Write them on the tablet of your heart. Proverbs 7:1-3

The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil. Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

Do Good Quietly

"They love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men" (Matt. 6:5).

This is the working definition of hypocrisy: "to be seen by men." The Greek word for hypocrite, hypokrit?s, originally meant "actor." First-century actors wore masks. A hypocrite, then, is one who puts on a mask, a false face.

Jesus did not say, "Do not do good works." Nor did he instruct, "Do not let your works be seen." We must do good works, and some works, such as benevolence or teaching, must be seen in order to have an impact. So let's be clear. To do a good thing is a good thing. To do good to be seen is not. In fact, to do good to be seen is a serious offense. Here's why.

Hypocrisy turns people away from God. When God-hungry souls walk into a congregation of wannabe superstars, what happens? When God seekers see singers strut like Las Vegas entertainers . . . When they hear the preacher—a man of slick words, dress, and hair—play to the crowd and exclude God . . . When other attendees dress to be seen and make much to-do over their gifts and offerings . . . When people enter a church to see God yet can't see God because of the church, don't think for a second that God doesn't react. "Be especially careful when you are trying to be good so that you don't make a performance out of it. It might be good theater, but the God who made you won't be applauding" (Matt. 6:1 MSG).

Hypocrisy turns people against God. So God has a no-tolerance policy. Let the cold, lifeless bodies of the embezzling couple issue their intended warning. Let's take hypocrisy as seriously as God does. How can we?

1. Expect no credit for good deeds. None. If no one notices, you aren't disappointed. If someone does, you give the credit to God. Ask yourself this question: If no one knew of the good I do, would I still do it? If not, you're doing it to be seen by people.

2. Give financial gifts in secret. Money stirs the phony within us. We like to be seen earning it. And we like to be seen giving it. So "when you give to someone in need, don't let your left hand know what your right hand is doing" (Matt. 6:3 NLT).

3. Don't fake spirituality. When you go to church, don't select a seat just to be seen or sing just to be heard. If you raise your hands in worship, raise holy ones, not showy ones. When you talk, don't doctor your vocabulary with trendy religious terms. Nothing nauseates more than a fake "Praise the Lord" or a shallow "Hallelujah" or an insincere "Glory be to God."

Bottom line: don't make a theater production out of your faith. "Watch me! Watch me!" is a call used on the playground, not in God's kingdom. Silence the trumpets. Cancel the parade. Enough with the name-dropping. If accolades come, politely deflect them before you believe them. Slay the desire to be noticed. Stir the desire to serve God.

Heed the counsel of Christ: "First wash the inside of the cup and the dish, and then the outside will become clean, too" (Matt. 23:26 NLT). Focus on the inside, and the outside will take care of itself. Lay your motives before God daily, hourly. "Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life" (Ps. 139:23-24 NLT).

Do good things. Just don't do them to be noticed. You can be too good for your own good, you know.

But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. (Matthew 6:3-4 NIV)

Lord, you make it plain in your Word that you hate hypocrisy, especially because it turns others away from you. So, Father, I pray that you would blunt my natural inclination to seek personal recognition for whatever good things you allow me to do. I don't want to be a phony, but neither do I want to be a glory hound. Fill me with your Spirit, and teach me to follow his example in gladly giving all glory to your Son. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

All Creation Waits

Colossians 1:15-20 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.

The evidence of God is everywhere as so masterfully explained here by my Christian brother Tom Spithaler, on his blog Sound Word. To visit Tom click here

Inspirations for my devotionals come from a variety of places. It may be from a reading that I have been going through. It may be from a thought that comes to mind that causes me to research a topic or theme. Sometimes it is just a feeling that I have or a mood that I am in that will drive me to be comforted by the Word, or to be lead by it.

As I have mentioned before, I was born and raised on a small farm. Dad’s farm adjoined large tracts of unmolested lands that were free for hiking, biking, hunting, horseback riding and all sort of leisure recreation. I spent my formative years, not behind a desk or on a sports team, but rather in the deciduous woods of western, PA. If I wasn’t hunting or trapping, I was tracking and scouting and learning that terrain like it was the back of may hand. While I knew my Dad owned just a small tract in comparison to the vast forests I roamed, but it sure felt like it was all mine.

I’d see some of the same deer over and over to the point where I’d give them nick-names. I’d visit the same creek crossings and field divides and just sit and watch for hours. I’d stand there in wonder of the wonder. How could such an awesome place exist, and what’s my role in it? I pursued that wonder for a long time. I started college to be a biologist, and then to be a teacher of biology. Then, who knows what happened. I grew. I changed. But I’ve never lost that wonder.

My thoughts that I put to paper today are not meant to draw us into a heart of conservation, or ecology, or to debate the value of recycling or, validity of global warming, or even as our God-given responsibility of stewardship over our natural resources. I write today simply because I cannot look or even consider nature, this world – and not give thanks to God.

It’s called natural revelation. It’s a theological term for God revealing Himself through creation itself. That wonderment that stifled me in the awe of the great outdoors in my youth, was an inner yearning to know God. My God shaped hole was filled by creation. Not just the outdoors and all that it has to offer, but in my children. The birth of our three children drove me to a place of contemplation that I knew I would never be released from until I could reconcile the fact my children were no accident, and that the button noses and toothless smiles were descendant of some Neanderthal-like creature, or worse yet an accident of nature itself when some random strike of lightning impacted a mud-puddle.

When I look over the hills and trees and canyons of this country, I know that nature is not an accident. When I look into the eyes of my children, I know that they are not a result of some cataclysmic storm, but that they were designed, and made in the image of God.

I’m humbled by God, in some small way, nearly every day of my life, and I’m a better man for it. The idea that my intellect can define who God is and how He does things is crazy. The thoughts of His mind, and the reasons that cause things to be done or not done, is so far beyond me that it is almost embarrassing to think that I can even conceive of those thoughts. But, I am made in His image, and all that is made, we are told is for us to care for, enjoy, and use to bring glory to Him.

After all, His work has been done to reconcile us to Him. And not just us, but all creation. All that has been created has been made sinful and dark and spoiled, and placed into an ever-ongoing state of decay, physically and spiritually. Let us be reminded daily to make peace with Him as we are washed by the blood of His sacrifice.

Thank you God for your creation, as it is your creation that has driven me home.

Tom's testimony is one of the clearest explanations I have heard of the evidence of creation. The theory of evolution is a futile attempt by men to explain away the reality of the Creator.

Romans 1:20-23 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.

God Bless you my friends, Bob

Simple Vanities

The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem. “Vanity of vanities,” says the Preacher, “Vanity of vanities! All is vanity.” What advantage does man have in all his work ... Which he does under the sun? Ecclesiastes 1:2-3

The Mysterious Appeal of Polygamy and Obama
©2010 Burt Prelutsky

I have never watched a TV series called Big Love, which deals with a polygamous family, so I have no opinion of the show. However, I was at a dinner party recently where a few people were discussing it. Nothing, I hasten to add, that was said made me want to tune in. Besides, between an occasional old movie, Bret Baier, The Factor and keeping up with the New York Yankees, I’m already watching more than enough. But it did get me thinking about the practice of polygamy.

Morality aside, I don’t see why it ever appealed to Mormons or Muslims. If you think about it for two minutes, you can see that it makes no sense. If anyone is going to have multiple spouses, it should be the woman, not the man. A man, after all, is a simple creature. By nature, he is not a multi-tasker. Working at the top of his game, he can barely manage to maintain a civilized relationship with one wife. The very idea that he is capable of keeping up with three or four or more wives makes me laugh.

For one thing, a normal wife doesn’t even want another woman setting foot in her kitchen and certainly not in her bathroom. For another thing, any time a polygamous husband hears laughter in his house, he knows who the ladies are laughing about. Worse yet, he has a pretty good idea what they’re laughing about.

On the other hand, a woman could easily juggle six or seven husbands. To start with, if she married wisely as well as often, she could have one husband who enjoys going to museums, another who likes going shopping, a third who like to travel, a fourth who lives to go dancing, a fifth who shares her belief that Kahlil Gibran’s The Prophet is the greatest book ever written, a sixth who never gets tired of seeing Jennifer Aniston movies, and so forth. What’s more, at those times when the woman just wants to be alone, there are enough guys around for a poker game.

On a totally unrelated matter, I have to confess that when I heard how badly Time and Newsweek are doing these days, I had something of a religious experience. You see, I suddenly recalled that back in the 1970s, when the news magazines took a break from warning us about the coming Ice Age, they took great delight in announcing the demise of God. Well, as in the case of Mark Twain, apparently those reports were somewhat premature. With Time and Newsweek sounding their own death rattles, it appears that once again God is having the last laugh.

Speaking of God, have I mentioned lately how much I despise Barack Obama? Understand, it’s not just his politics I hate; it’s the man, himself.

This is the guy who silenced John McCain at what was supposed to be a bi-partisan meeting of the minds by giving him a look that might have turned a man who hadn’t survived several years at the Hanoi Hilton into stone, adding, “The election is over, John,” just in case the senator had somehow missed the contemptuous sneer.

Obama is the guy who is totally out of sync with the American public on everything from the stimulus to card checks to cap & trade to health reform and the Ground Zero mosque, and arrogantly assumes that he, alone, knows best.

This lunkhead, who is taking bows for bringing home soldiers from Iraq, lacks even the grace to acknowledge that while he and Sen. Joe Biden were voting against the surge, George Bush made it happen. I’m sure it doesn’t matter to Obama that it was thanks to the surge that, for a change, our warriors are coming home proud and victorious, not vanquished and depressed. But it makes a great deal of difference to the troops, to the families of those who never made it home and to those of us who actually believe that most of the nations of the world owe America either gratitude or an apology, and not the other way around.

Finally, I don’t care what religion Obama claims he follows. To my mind, being a Muslim would be an improvement over being the sort of person who’d attend Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s racist church for 20 years and have the gall to call himself a Christian. However, I am getting sick and tired of hearing that the reason he’s on the links and not in a church on Sunday is because he doesn’t want to be a distraction. If he’s so darn concerned about disrupting the lives of garden variety Americans, maybe he could stop flying into one city after another to raise money for the DNC. Perhaps from now on, he could simply send the fat cat Democrats a video, the way he did with the Boy Scouts.

It seems odd that the man who is so concerned about a few necks being stretched to catch a glimpse of His Fatuousness as he plants his royal rump in a church pew never seems to give a second thought to tens of thousands of commuters who are stuck in traffic jams so that he and his Teleprompter can get to yet another fund-raiser for Barbara Boxer or Patty Murray.

Still, I can’t help finding it a bit ironic that the man who obviously believes he can walk on water and multiply the loaves — although his own approach is to take loaves from those who have them and hand out them out to those who don’t have them and aren’t inclined to work for them — feels that his mere presence would create mass hysteria inside a church, of all places.

The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil. Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

One Light Bulb at a Time

A physics teacher in high school, once told the students that while one
grasshopper on the railroad tracks wouldn't slow a train very much,
a billion of them would.

With that thought in mind, read the following, obviously written by a good
American. (author unknown)

Good idea .. . one light bulb at a time . .

Check this out. I can verify this because I was in Lowes the other day for some reason and just for the heck of it I was looking at the hose attachments. They were all made in China. The next day I was in Ace Hardware and just for the heck of it I checked the hose attachments there. They were made in USA. Start looking.

In our current economic situation, every little thing we buy or do affects someone else - even their job. So, after reading this email, I think this lady is on the right track. Let's get behind her!

My grandson likes Hershey's candy. I noticed, though, that it is marked made in Mexico now. I do not buy it any more.

My favorite toothpaste Colgate is made in Mexico ... now I have switched to Crest. You have to read the labels on everything.

This past weekend I was at Kroger. I needed 60 Watt light bulbs and Bounce dryer sheets. I was in the light bulb aisle, and right next to the GE brand that I normally buy was an off-brand labeled, "Everyday Value. " I picked up both types of bulbs and compared the stats - they were the same except for the price.

The GE bulbs were more money than the Everyday Value brand but the thing that surprised me the most was the fact that GE was made in MEXICO and the Everyday Value brand was made in - get ready for this - the USA in a company in Cleveland, Ohio.

So throw out the myth that you cannot find products you use every day that are made right here. You can get value for less in the USA

So on to another aisle - Bounce Dryer Sheets. Yep, you guessed it, bounce cost more money and is made in Canada. The Everyday Value brand was less and MADE IN THE USA! I did laundry yesterday and the dryer sheets performed just like the Bounce Free I have been using for years and at almost half the price!

My challenge to you is to start reading the labels when you shop for everyday things and see what you can find that is made in the USA - the job you save may be your own or your neighbors!

If you accept the challenge, pass this on to others in your address book so we can all start buying American, one light bulb at a time!
Stop buying from overseas companies!

We should have awakened a decade ago.

Let's get with the program ... help our fellow Americans keep their jobs and create more jobs here in the U.S.A.

THESE ARE TOUGH TIMES IN AMERICA.
WE ALL NEED TO HELP EACH OTHER ... ANY WAY WE CAN

I Passed this on ......... will you ?

Defending Noah's Ark

1 Peter 3:15 but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence.

O'Reilly vs Maher - click here this past week, and he is to be commended for standing up for the cause of Christ. Although I admire O’Reilly’s courage for challenging Maher, I can’t say O’Reilly is even remotely qualified to debate the issue. O’Reilly’s responses to Maher were not Biblical and not well thought out.

The fact is that if there was no Noah and his ark, then our belief in Jesus is no more important than Maher's belief in Darwin, and the Bible is just another good book.

This conversation would be difficult for most Christians. The first question that comes to my mind is what should O’Reilly have done differently? Answer: not invited the argument in the first place. "answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes."

First of all, he should have done his homework. O’Reilly was in control of the conversation. He had the ability to review all of Maher’s past ignorant statements and challenge him on specifics. Instead he opened with a general question which allowed Maher to counter and take control by switching to Noah’s Ark questions and other difficult verses. Keep in mind, this is a short segment and even the greatest Biblical scholar would be challenged to debate the story of Noah's Ark in eight minutes. It is totally predictable that Maher would try to switch the conversation to Noah, Jonah, or creation. If O’Reilly was not prepared to go there, he should never have entered the discussion. His plan should have been to make a reasoned argument for faith in opposition to the false science Maher has accepted as his religion. Asking Maher a difficult question, such as; “how do you believe the world and men came to exist? Or, if there is no God, then what is the truth … would have been a good start? This would have put Maher on the defensive, and O’Reilly could have maintained control of the short discussion. The Bible is a Book for those who think about what they believe. We are better off not say anything rather than spout an off the cuff opinion based on meandering opinions. God responds to the comments of both men here: “Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God. For it is written, “He is THE ONE WHO CATCHES THE WISE IN THEIR CRAFTINESS”; and again, “THE LORD KNOWS THE REASONINGS of the wise, THAT THEY ARE USELESS.” 1 Cor. 3:19-20

What else does the Bible say? God cannot error. The Bible is the word of God, therefore the Bible cannot error. “it is impossible for God to lie” Heb. 6:18; “God cannot lie” Tit. 1:2; “God is truth” Jn. 14:6; Jesus said; “your word is truth” Jn. 17:17; “the entirety of your word is truth” Ps. 119:160; “all scripture is God Breathed” 2 Tim. 3;16; and finally Jesus said; “Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill. “For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished. Mat. 5:17-18.

What should O’Reilly have said?
Here is how I would have replied in 10 minutes or less. Would you like me to explain why Christians believe what they do Bill?

Christians believe that the God is omniscient (all knowing), omnipotent (all powerful), and omnipresent (always present). We believe that God created all things in the heavens and on earth and that all teachings to the contrary are untrue. God created man from the dust of the earth and woman from the rib of the man. Man was deceived by Satan the evil one and because of man’s sins of the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, man lost fellowship with God and was sent out on his own. We also believe that Jesus Christ is one with God and the Holy Spirit from the beginning. Christians believe that God is truth and that He cannot lie and that the Bible is His revelation of the eternal Truth that has been revealed through men, and Jesus, God who came in the form of a man. The Bible includes Old Testament Laws, some that are eternal and some that were given for a time but have been replaced by new revelations. These revelations have a variety of purposes: some for a time, laws, wisdom, historical, scientific, prophetic, poetic, parables, some evangelical, some pastoral and some allegorical. Of all the peoples in the world God chose the Jews over all other people, and made a covenant with them declaring them a special people, a royal priesthood under His protection. God gave the Jews laws to follow which made clear the difference between right and wrong. When the Jews violated these laws, God provided a covenant for forgiveness of their sins, by the sacrifice of an unblemished lamb. The Jewish prophets foretold of a coming Messiah who would be the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. The Holy Spirit came upon the Virgin Mary who gave birth to Jesus the Christ, the promised Messiah who was God in the form of man, born of a virgin. He is the New Covenant replacing the old sacrifice. Jesus is an unblemished sinless lamb, who became the sacrifice once for all the sins of mankind. Jesus said; "You must be born again" Those who believe in Jesus Christ are born again, and are immediate heirs to His eternal priesthood, sons of the most high. Christians are forgiven, not because of their good deeds; but because Jesus died on the cross for us, and washed away our sins past, present, and future. Jesus turned water into wine; raised the dead; cast out demons, healed many lepers, those who were lame, and blind from birth; walked on water; stilled the violent storm; fed thousands with five loaves and two fish; and many, many more miracles. Jesus willingly died on the cross for our sins and victoriously rose from the dead after three days in a tomb. “And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they were written in detail, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that would be written.” Only a fool would pretend to have a logical human explanation for these miracles. And just like millions of other realities that are clearly true, but that men can’t explain, we accept these truths by faith.

So if we believe that all of these miracles are truth, why is it difficult to believe the story of Noah, even as incredible as it sounds? O’Reilly would be wise to read the Bible before he calls the Old Testament an allegory. Jesus spoke specifically about the days of Noah and the flood, not as an allegory but as a literal fact; “For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. “For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be.” Matthew 24:37-39.

Standing on the truth of the story of Noah is not difficult when you are standing with Christ,
combined with the testimony of all of these miracles ... is it?

Jesus will return and those who have trusted Him for their salvation will reign eternally with God in Heaven. Those who disregard God will suffer the consequences. ”For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.” Rom. 1:18-20

I believe that on numerous occasions God spoke to and through Moses. For centuries skeptics have tried to prove the Bible is filled with untruths but there is not a single example where they have succeeded, and that includes the story of Noah. Biblical Christians accept God’s word as truth. Inerrancy is a logical result of inspiration. Inerrancy means wholly true and without error. The fact that we don’t understand the truth does not change His truth. There are thousands of things we accept every day that we don’t understand but we accept them. I am convinced that most atheists have accepted men’s teachings and philosophies as truth. They believe whatever makes sense to them to be truth, but men’s ideas have been proven wrong over and over. And of course … if men are no better than animals, a mistake, with no meaning or purpose, as you suppose; how is it that their ideas are relevant or of value?

Jesus is pleading with all of us to repent and receive Him as our Savior and Lord. I have believed in my heart that God’s Word is truth. God has provided evidence, revelation and the understanding in my heart the difference between truth and lie, good and evil. I stand humbly with the Creator, the living God, the Messiah, Jesus Christ, My Lord, and my Salvation.

Now Mr. Maher, a challenge: “If a Christian bets his life on God’s existence and His promise of eternity in bliss with Him ... and is wrong, he has only lost his life, which atheists claim is a meaningless delusion anyway. But if an atheist bets that there is no God, and thus no eternal judgment after death and is wrong, he will suffer his error for eternity.” You have said all Christians are ignorant. Would you kindly explain to me what you believe, and why you believe it? And then let’s take a few minutes to consider the validity and basis for your beliefs.

Can you now see why O’Reilly’s; “I’m a simple man, here’s my simple answer does not represent Christ or the Bible well? We must “always be ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you.”
